Tonight we sold our truck. I thank the blog gods for hearing my plea this morning for a speedy sale when I did our last post.
We have sold it to a couple just like us, two backpackers, wanting to explore Australia. We met the couple from Ireland, explained the car trouble, did a test drive, went over the vehicle and all its contents and struck a deal.
We settled on $1500 with a half tank of gas included for goodwill. They gave us a $100 deposit, we gave them a receipt and tomorrow night we will sign all the paperwork and take payment. Monday we hand over the keys and check into a hostel.
How do we feel? Relieved and sad at the same time. Ask us again around this time tomorrow :)
